Cheerleading gyms have unique needs such as high ceilings and large column-free space. In the past, East Coast spirit had operated out of the Gothic Arches church sanctuary uptown and most recently in a warehouse building in the Grandview Industrial Park. The cost to heat the warehouse in the winter was high and they needed to find a better long term solution.
Parkway Mall was presented as a possible option. A portion of the interior vacant space in the mall was a 4,200 square foot box with 18’+ ceilings and a large sky light. When Joy Mitchel (ECS owner/operator) saw the space she knew immediate that it could work. “We just love the new location, it’s centrally located with lots of parking. Parents can drop off their athletes and run errands during practice time. I think our families are going to find this much more convenient and our cheerleaders will have a nice, clean, brightly lit, warm gym!” (and cooled in the summer). http://eastcoastspirit.com/
