IDEA Centre Secures Home in Brunswick Square

1 Germain Street, Saint John, NB (Brunswick Square) — The IDEA Centre, an innovative high school co-op style program, has signed a lease for new dedicated office space in Brunswick Square, marking an exciting new chapter for the successful initiative.

IDEA CENTRE STUDENTS TAKING PRIDE IN THE PROGRAM

The IDEA Centre (which stands for Innovation, Development, Entrepreneurship and Action) provides students with a dynamic learning experience that blends education with real-world problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking. Participating students gather in the space for two periods a day throughout the semester, earning two or three course credits upon completion. The program is delivered in partnership with Kaleidoscope Social Impact.  “Many of our students walk from the uptown high schools, so being located uptown was a priority for us,” said Michele Lodge, co-lead for the program. “IDEA Centre has been a huge success over the last several years and we’re thrilled to take this next step in the program’s evolution.”

With tight timelines, the program acted quickly to secure new space and found a willing partner in Ravelin Properties. “We’re grateful to have found a location that meets our needs so well, and to have worked with partners who understand the importance of what we’re doing for youth in this city,” said Lodge.

Stephanie Turner and Brock Turner of Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic represented Ravelin Properties in the deal. “This is the first office lease signed since taking on the listing a few weeks ago,” said Stephanie Turner. “We’re excited to share more great news about Brunswick Square.”

The lease marks another positive development for Brunswick Square as it continues to reposition itself as a vibrant, multi-use hub in uptown Saint John.
