We’re thrilled to announce that Bagel Artist, the beloved bagel shop run by local entrepreneur Angeli Barbosa, has signed a lease to open a second location in the Saint John City Market, taking over the iconic stall that market-goers will remember as the former Java Moose space.

This move brings one of the city’s best-kept culinary secrets into the spotlight. The original location at 615 Rothesay Avenue has been quietly gaining a devoted following and rave reviews online, and now, it’s stepping out of the shadows to become a central part of the uptown food scene.

A long-time morning staple for downtown regulars, the stall is known for its fast, friendly service and memorable coffee experience, something Angeli plans to proudly revive. But that’s just the beginning.

Bagel Artist is set to wow with its signature lineup of freshly baked artisanal bagels, house-made cream cheeses, gourmet bagel sandwiches, and a selection of fresh and frozen bagels to take home. With its prime location at the foot of the City Market, this new spot is perfectly positioned to serve professionals on the go, curious tourists, and hungry passersby throughout the day.
